The René K philosophy is simple…

It is one of individuality and innovation.

With each piece of clothing made in limited numbers, you can be assured that what you are wearing is totally unique and extremely hard to come by. Rene K supply celebrities, musicians and discerning ladies unique, custom made clothing. We specialise in showstopping gowns, Prom dresses, Ready To Wear and celebrity events.

We endeavour to bring you cutting edge design, pattern cut to your measurements at an affordable price, often more affordable than many high street stores. All our items are handmade in our UK studios using the finest fabrics, locally sourced and made to your requirements.

You never have to be seen in the same outfit as someone else again….

Owner Carrie-Ann started Rene K in 2002 in Leeds whilst studying for her Sociology & Psychology degree. Carrie watched her beloved Grandma Renee sew as a child and would help make toys & teddies for local children’s charities. After inheriting her Grandma’s sewing machine when she passed away, Carrie started making clothing as a hobby for herself & friends at University. Before she knew it, her hobby grew into a small business supplying clothing for independent boutiques around Leeds city centre. Her ranges sold out within days of hitting the stores & within 3 years Rene K was stocked in over 30 boutiques in the UK & International stores in Japan and Australia.

Carrie decided to take a hiatus to teach Fashion & Textiles at Burnley College & UCLAN Centre where she studied & completed her teaching degree. Setting up her own teaching school was the natural next step and eager fashion students flocked to her sewing classes.

With the onset of social media & Instagram Carrie started posted her custom makes & designs for her friends and orders came flooding in. Reality TV stars ordered her cutting edge designs for events & red carpet and the rest is history…

Carrie works from her Lancashire based studios in Trawden with her small team of staff cutting, designing & making all her ranges with her studio pooch Coco the choccie Lab.
